FWAA, ESPN, and PFF all gave him Freshman All-American honors. Pretty much everywhere else gave him 2nd team.

Glad Gaines got recognized. He's very good, I think the 3rd most impressive freshman. Pup, and only Pup has been tooting his horn ALL year. He's got all conference ability. He domminates one-on-one...not every down, but th a t will come. He'll require double teams soon. As ive been saying all year, he's a pure bull rusher. When he sheds a little pudge, and learns technique look out. Not bad for a scout 3-star (scout's star system is so flawed).

Actually @chuck was the first one to point out Gaines, before he even got to UW. I think @whatshouldicareabout and maybe someone else pointed out that he was good enough to play as a true freshman before the start of last season.

Plenty of others have tooted his horn and you were not the first to do so.

Plenty of others have tooted his horn and you were not the first to do so.
