2nd half, Cal has shot everything from inside the paint (should have told you to sit down before I dropped that bomb. Sorry my bad), and if we can't get a run out and have to run offense, we shoot a three
Jaylen Brown showed what a lottery pick should look like in crunch time at the college level. Are guys are just not physical enough to take over in the half court. Cal is getting back and watching waste 20 seconds before a 1 on 1 kick out to a contested three.
Edit: UW provided plenty of false hope but the script was already written, missing a free throw at the end of a must win home game has all the hallmarks of a solid Romar basketball game
Unreal. Cal tried their hardest to give it away. The fucked up possession with the Dorsey airball 3 or forcing the turnover and then giving it right back were the two possessions we really squandered.
They had been so terrible from the stripe that 2 was just as good as 1. Get points there and the game is going to OT at the least.
Either way, you want to be a tourney team you need to win that game. Murray was like 3-10 from the stripe.
So I went to my annual one game of the year to watch the Romar shit show in person and I wasn't disappointed ...
I could go off on how bad Cuonzo Martin?!?!?!?!?! outcoached Romar ...
I could talk about my buddy noticing that Romar's timeout strategy is to talk to his assistants for 2/3 of the timeout and then talk to his team before taking the court ...
I could talk about how a team that needs to play at a fast pace and get buckets in transition never tried to change tempo until there was 3-4 minutes left and down 10 ...
I could talk about how many times the stupid switching on defense led to easy offensive rebounds or corner 3's by Cal because of a help defender needing to drop down to threaten the interior pass against a mouse in the house ...
But I think the game can be summed up for me before the game ever started ...
When UW takes the court their warm up consists of some bullshit walk through pass/screen drill followed by the UW version of a dunk contest ... meanwhile, on the other end of the court, Jaylen Brown is sitting at the FT line shooting FTs for about 4-5 minutes.

Murray and Chriss played like shit.
Halfway through bottle of wine #2.
Fuck.
Has Romar been fired yet?
Did Romer not get the memo that Cal can't figure out the 2-3 zone?
See you at Washington National asshole
