There is one thing in the David Long recruiting circus that gives me hope:
Why did Harbaugh feel it necessary to bring his entire coaching staff, play football with Long's little sisters, climb a tree, etc.?
I know Harbaugh is weird but it smacks slightly of being a "throw everything at him and see if we can change his mind" kind of thing. I keep thinking back to the way Sark tried to sway Arik Armstead vs. Chip Kelly's approach. In that case, the clown show did not work. Could be similar here. -
