UW was unbalanced and heavy to the playside there. If I recall correctly, we ran up to the line very quickly for that play, WSU wasn't able to line up correctly and the play was a TD before it happened. Because of this McGary didn't really have anyone to block, and like you said, Sample and Daniels owned their two guys. Only guy that could make the play was the safety who decided to go low on Kirkland.

Really good design, especially with the hurry up.

Exactly. Most of the cuogs run themselves out of the play, expecting Gaskin to run to the sideline.
