Scrempos is now 6-6 280 and looks like a man in his bio pic compared to a year ago when he was 6-6 252.
Thing about Wooching is he's actually improved. He's actually made a few plays recently. He was worthless and annoying the first half of the year. Now he's just annoying.
I don't know how much better the defense can get statistically. It was #4 and #12 in both advanced stats I follow. If the offense plays a relatively mistake free game (no TO's, make short FG's) the final score might be 51-3 or 37-3 before the last 2 return TDs. The key to next season will be how much the offense improves. If we were an NFL team we'd trade 2 DL for 2 WR's.

LB is the only spot on D I don't think we are super deep, but I guess that depends on how guys develop anyway. We are super deep on the DL (when is the last time we ever had that), and deep in the secondary. This D should be lights out for a few more years if we can find replacements at LB, and the young DL and DBs continue on their trajectory.

Scrempos, McCoy and Potoa'e all should be good if we've had any indication from our young pups.
The thing I like about all of them is that they are physically rare guys. Scrempos is huge (I really loved his film, high DDY 2); McCoy is a tall/wide 3-Tech, hard to find; Potoa'e is a big, fast, solid, quick, strong Elephant/Terrell Suggs type.
All could be very good.
Also, to answer the @HeretoBeatmyChest question; it's really just about playing better in key situations. Getting off the field on 3rd and long, getting more turnovers.
If we could get off the field more on 3rd and long via pass and 3rd and short via run we would be really fucking good.

I still say we have 2 all Pac 12 WR's coming in, with a good amount of depth. Ross, and Daniels are your starters. Sample and Ajamu are your tight ends if we want a physical running game, with Daniels on the edge blocking for bubble screens to Ross and getting the edge free for those Gaskin long runs

If Daniels is moved to WR, we also have Mike Neal coming in who could take the Daniels/Perkins role as the black, pass-catching TE while Sample and Ajamu assume the white/brown blocking TE role

Good news is our LB recruiting class is the best one we've ever had. Eifler and Wellington might be the 2 best LB recruits we've had in about 20 years.

Still nervous about Eifler, but if he signs, totally agree.
He's my least favorite. I'd like to thank Chest for pointing out the other team scores 81% of the time he is in the game.
The player you're actually thinking of is Sean Constantine. Opposing offenses marched down the field when he subbed in, and the coaches finally wised up and replaced him with BBK.
Wooching actually plays pretty decently, despite the fact that this bored hates him. He has made some nice tackles for loss and gotten some sacks. He has also made some dumb penalties and lost contain in the red zone on a few occassions. Definitely has improved as a player as the season went on.
There is no reason why he can't rotate in next year, particularly on 2nd/3rd and long.

I like the young OLB's on this team

Stil, BBK needs to get to 220 this off-season. If he can do that, the future is bright.
We have actually had good white LBs at Washington. It's been a while, but... I mean...
James Clifford, Dave Hoffmann, David Rill, Bo Yates, Tim Meamber, Brett Collins, etc.
It's been a while, though... our last decent white LB was probably Jerry Jensen, right?
Wow, just wow
