Smith seems perfectly fine giving away plays (and series) when he calls the bubble/screen package, the Lindquist package, throwing to much in general, but spec on first down where more times than not it's a incompletion and sticking us in 2nd in long. Is that common to "lose the battle", but set it up so you "win the war" later in the game?

Even accounting for the uptick in competition level, has Petersen lost something in the last couple of years? 92-12 to 12-11 is almost an un-explainable drop off.

Smith at least 81% of the time after an incomplete pass on 1st down will call for a run on 2nd down because he's heard that it's easier to pick up 3rd down if you can cut it into a shorter conversion ...
As former players, do they still identify with these duck designed uniforms and white helmets and loser font and urine stained edging on the numbers...or is it just my problem?
Seriously ever have something in the playbook that you just shook your head at? Do you have something in the playbook now that you know is just not gonna work? AND YOU STILL CALL IT!! Why or why not?

Comments on the drivel Smith was spewing from his filthy sewer RE: Lindy being a Capt and needing to get him involved. Lundy fucking holds the ball for FGs and PATs and personal protects on punts. What am I missing?
To elaborate on this, if you feel that the team is better, then why will we? probably win less or equal pac 12 games? Theres no kelly, carroll or Harbaugh roaming the sidelines now.
If the team is worse... well, then, that raises a lot of questions.

Does whatever Vegas sets the line at (season and games) matter at all?
Is it ok for Petersen to use this season as practice for his younger recruits and be more concerned about next year rather than this year?
How many wins/losses would UW have this year with a mediocre offense, Mike leach as OC, or mildly sober sark as OC?
If Petersen only wins one more game this year should he be fired?
How many wins should Petersen have next year to make you say, maybe he can actually get it done here?
Smith, Petersen or the players?
