Stanford Stadium should be one of the loudest in the conference. The bleachers there are noisy as hell and echo. Too bad they can only half fill it with awkward foreign exchange students.
We (yes we) should take over that stadium next week.
I watched and listened to Utah-Cal prime time ESPN. Sounded like a Lake Washington vs Mercer Island game. Embarrasing. Couldnt hear crowd, never heard the band and could hear players talking smack. SEC games you cant hear the commentators. Good thin brent turdburger took a job with SEC network, incidentally ruining his career
How the fuck can you expect a crew to provide top notch audio visual when they are that fucking elevation in Salt Lake City?!?!!?!!?
Cant even hear crowd. Just davey and Yessie. Watch a few weekends of college football for shit sakes. For most of you pussies that'll be difficult as youre all forced to walk The Hill scene during the saturday channel 7 12:30 SEC game, or the ABC 12:30 Kick, maybe the 5pm RIGGED ESPN game and the plentiful 9 am big10 yawners. But try best you can. Then come on here and we'l l talk

Should be a decent UW showing, Seattle plays SF the same week.
The SEC uses referee channel, then kills noise at penalties. Same noise level. Listen when referee turns mic on. Thats what we here when we watch SEC games on espn. Puppy cracked the code; 09:20PST, 10-15-2015

Hmmm. I don't entirely discount what Puppy is saying, but the Oregon games on ESPN sound pretty loud. It's not a secret that the SEC crowds are a little more rabid than the Pac 12 ones.
1. If you're in the business of selling ad space on a TV network, and you've spent a ton of dough to carry SEC content, then it's just plain good business to give SEC viewers what they want: To look and sound like the best, and to be constantly told you're the best.
2. Puppy's right: ESPN's coverage of P12 games by and large doesn't look and sound as good as their coverage of SEC games. There definitely could be some technical factors contributing to this. But the biggest factor is that SEC games just look and sound better. With few exceptions (Autzen, occasionally HS, and maybe Rice-Eccles), P12 home crowds are flaccid and embarrassing. And with only one exception (USC), P12 marching bands are fucking awful.

Jesus Christ It's football Not a rock concert. Who gives a fuck about whether the refs mics are mixed or whether you can hear the fuckin band. So a game on the West Coast that starts at 10:30pm on a Thursday doesn't have all the production tools that a Primetime Sat game has.
ESPN fucking sucks, but they cater to the demand. People in the South care and watch more college football than people living in the rest of the United States. It's the same reason why the Yankees, Red Sox, Patriots, Knicks, Lakers, and LeBron take up 90% of the air time on Sportscenter.
