During that time, most of the fans were still in owen12 mindset. Most fans don't really dig that deep and they don't know how many NFL players were on the '08 team, or if they do, they just rationalize it as Ty's fault, Locker's injury, or some other nonsense. The point being, 7-6 is a hell of a lot better than 0-12, so they figure it's a 5-7 year rebuild.
The KJR trio are just sychophants and back then when they had radio rights, they always ratcheted it up. All three know better to an extent (even Baird). -
