Carroll probably was too. He's just a lot better at it. I watched a documentary on the Cowboys about how Michael Irvin would party all night, come in to practice after no sleep and still work harder than anyone on the team while his teammates who partied with him struggled. Carroll is the Michael Irvin of USC coaches.
