All bullshit aside, he has lost a step, or three. No explosion. Granted, it was a small sample size, but I am guessing our hopes of him being AC are over.

Admittedly I'm no NFL scout, but the three carries I saw got blown up at the line. Hard to put that on Cooper I'm not saying he's AC, I'm just saying it's a little premature to declare that he has "no explosion." Let it play out.

I really wish someone would have remembered which doog said, "There won't be a dry eye in the stadium." Anyone have any clue?

I believe it was in Gregg Bell's article and it was Lorenzo Romar who said that.
Romar said there would be some people with tears, not quite the whole not a dry eye in the stadium. It was a poster on doogman.

Hey, I qualified it by saying "guessing," which is sort of like "hearing," and if you can't understand the difference then you might need a timeout.
  • I actually chuckled that his first carry didn't count cause of the chop block. Glad his first real carry resulted in a first down though.

Pretty sure Sark said something about him still being tentative to hit the holes hard... it's psychological not physical.
  • Joking aside, I don't think we can really gauge what he's capable of until he's got 3-4 games under his belt and some of the butterflies have been worked through.

I really hope Idaho State is his slump buster and he can get some confidence. Remember guys Sankey was average vs SDSU last year then terrible vs LSU. Then he tore it up vs Portland State and never looked back.

Illinois should be bad enough to give him some opportunities.

I think Cooper and Callier are going to be fighting for scraps. Washington is the clear #2 RB. That kid runs hard and does not avoid contact.
