Why Does Jonathan Smith hate the Tight End position

Watching Michigan play, and seeing the immediate change in culture and offensive strategy from the puke spread to the power pro sets with multiple tight ends pisses me off. Why is Washington having so many problems being Washington? When did UW become so pussified. Bubble screens, gimmicks and hurry up, seriously wtf? I promise you, D Washington would be selling his couch had he missed a key block leading to a game loosing sack if he played for Harbaugh. Why can't Smith make these guys play tough? The Bubble screen game is bullshit. Line up with 3 tight ends and run straight ahead, play action over the middle and throw in a toss sweep. What the fuck is so hard about that

"You love catching passes, you love catching touchdowns, that's all good and well, but you've got to get down and do some dirty work, too, put your hand in the dirt," Butt said. "That's the great part of being a tight end, you get the best of both worlds — you can flex out as a receiver, you can have your hand in the dirt blocking, you may wind up in the backfield as a fullback sometimes. You get to do it all."

LBs cheating last game to the sides makes the TE the obvious go to.

The patriots are the perfect example of what UW's offense should look like...

They really have have 1 or 2 great players on offense but still make other teams defenses look like they were coached by HoltFS.

on Thursday night the patriots started:

    3 rookie interior OL
A RB that hadn't played a single down since 2012
A WR core with the best player being a small white guy

And they still fucking dominated, and don't tell me because it's Tom Brady because Matt Cassel, Ryan mallet, and Jimmy Gropolololol have also look pretty fucking good in that offense too. Every play is a simple quick read for the QB and the WR and TEs are running simple basic routes.

I know the nfl is different but I would love to see us lineup in a 3+ TE set like the patriots did a bunch of times and throw the ball to whichever one is being covered by either the too small CB or the too slow LB or run a few draws and screens with blockers bigger than mickens down field.

Smiths bed time is 8:30, he doesn't have time to coach that all that stuff.

I was discouraged by Smith's comments this week specifically when he discussed the feedback the Boise coaches gave him. "Yeah we played cover 2 until you made us not." DD blocked poorly on the edge, no seam routes, no iso's with the TE or Lenius on the midg DBs. I "get" Petes offense, but there should be a page that says, 7" height advantage - possible opportunity?

    It's just so fucking irritating.

Julian Edelman is a fake whitey, like our favorite Columbian rb recruit.
