How many points did they put up on Auburn? 19? I think this Bama defense might be even better than that, and this is not the same Oregon offense as those teams that Chip had.
Auburn's defense was near the bottom in the SEC that year, everyone including Thomas was able to throw the ball on them. Alabama's defense is vastly superior, they would swallow Oregon whole.

Look at Alabama's results last year. 5 FIVE fucking teams put 20+ on them not including OSU. Florida was an abortion of an offense and managed to do it on the road and a 7-6 Tennessee team put 20 on them. Ole miss and West Virginia hit 23 and auburn hung 44 pts. Oregon would do so (hit at least 21) rather easily. Best evidence of that is what Florida and Auburn did to them.
