Steph is a stud, He's not LeBron, but he's a true superstar. APAG is right. Curry is the reason everyone else is so open. His shooting is that lethal.
Honestly though, it's boring, but if Cleveland had a full roster they could have won. Guys like Delly are good subs getting 10-15 minutes. He had a monster game or two, but he will revert to being a back up PG. Those games fooled thinking people into thinking Cleveland was fine and possibly better with the stars being out, but no. A team never gets better losing Love and Irving and when LeBron wasn't playing out of his mind, it showed.
Delly takes pride in his defense, but if Curry is hot, nobody can guard him. He's too good. On top of that, Golden State had more true difference makers. Other than LeBron and maybe Thompson, Cleveland had strictly role players. Golden State had legitimate starters. A lot of them. It's been two years in a row now. Superstars are crucial, but the supporting cast matters.
How the fuck does Hubie Brown have a vote? I swear to god I was watching a game 8 years ago and that senile old fuck couldn't grasp the concept of a 2 for 1 to end a quarter.
Clearly Lebron was the MVP of the series. Iguodola won it because he was the best player on the best team. Certainly Steph is more valuable but Igudola gets credit because he started the last 3 games, averaged +20ppg and guarded James who was a bit worse over that period. I think it was James just being tired. LeBron wasn't as good in the 2nd half of the series. If the series went 7 Lebron would have won MVP.
As for Cleveland with all their guys, they will certainly be better. But Thompson gave them rebounding and defense that Love didnt. They will have to figure out their lineup to maximize with all their pieces. Can Love be a 3?
