Mebane has to go. No point to paying a two down, run stopping DT 5+ million, especially when the team went 8-2 without him. Getting to the passer was a bigger problem than stopping the run.

Particularly when the potential replacement does BOTH
    Suh isn't a potential replacement.

Are Wilson's legs going to go in the next year or two? Sounds like the general talking head that questions Wilson's performance.

And regarding Lynch, you put a deal together that is consistent with his projected performance or you go short-term deals. If you work together, a deal can be found that is fair for both parties.

I'm not questioning what he has done. I am concerned about him being able to keep doing it the way our O-line lets him get hammered back there.

I'm not questioning his toughness or performance. I just want him to be able to keep doing it for another decade plus.

Nobody thought Bo Jackson's career would end the way it did. But shit happens. A smart GM protects his franchise QB as much as possible.

That means as few hits as possible. During the Green Bay game, they threw up a stat that Wilson had dropped back 15 times, and was hit, knocked down, or sacked 14 of those times. It's not about just protecting him, it's about giving the offense time to run a play.

A good o-line would help more than a star DT.

Lynch should go to New England. One last shot at a title in Title Town USA.

I would roll the dice Lynch has one more year in him.

That fucker is the spark plug that gets the offense going.

How many times did we see the offense plodding along and then Lynch kicks in a huge run and it just all starts rolling.

This. Next year's team needs Lynch. It's time to start formulating a plan for the post Lynch era.

If it's a straight either/or you take Suh without giving it a second thought. Add five years of Suh to the guys you already have locked in on that defense and you're winning more than one more ring.

But as @sarktastic noted, that's not the equation. Suh is going to command Wilson money if not more. Suh means no Wagner extension, no receiving upgrade, no offensive line upgrade, nothing.

I just don't see how it's at all realistic.

Regardless, with all the money the Hawks are having to spend they MUST hit on the draft this year. Their past few drafts have been decent, but they really need to find some savings by drafting starters in the draft. That will help the cap space more than anything. The draft is HUGE for the Seahawks this year.

Run a fucking dive instead of a slant on second down and this question would be retarded. Now...........it's just a stupid question. I'll take a difference maker who touches the ball 25-30 times a game vs almost any defensive player. Offensive individual playmaker>>>>>>>>>>>defensive individual playmaker

I guess you must have missed the BRILLIANT thread where advanced metrics for fucktards PROVED that passing on 2nd and G at the 1 was the right call.
