I am 81% sure Peterman went with the QB who sucked the least and would not throw interceptions.

    He doesn't throw completions either.
He was 5th in the PAC for completion % and 2nd for interceptions (in a good way).

The problem is he was 10th for YPA at 7.3.

On paper he is not a bad QB, good completion %, doesn't throw interceptions.

On the field the defense knew how to rattle him and knew he couldn't get it more than 5 yards down the field.
Miles is to QBs as Sark is to coaches. On paper, he looks good but when you see it, you know it sucks.

This is stupid. I'll put a disclaimer on this: Miles sucks. I will repeat it again, Miles sucks.

Here's an analogy. Let's say your LT sucks. Think of him as Ben Ossai if you would like. The shitty LT gives up a couple sacks every game. He sucks. At practice, the LT wins on average 6 of 10 one on one pass rush match ups. The back up wins 2 of 10. You wouldn't put in the even worse backup because the starter sucks.

If you're Petersen, you can't say the QB that takes care of the ball and is most accurate is going to play then play a guy who isn't accurate or takes care of the ball at practice. That's especially true when the coach has openly said players earn their playing time in practice.

Everyone knows we need better QB play to rise above being average. I wish Williams was staying to compete, but he had opportunities and he didn't take advantage.

That's not the greatest analogy. It's more like if the starter gives up a sack every game, and the backup hadn't had the game experience to get any better against higher level competition.

I hate to break up the Great Miley Debate, but with the news of Williams' transfer it's time to score another one for the St Tosh Day massacre.

Qualls is the last man standing.

Sometimes things are what they appear. Qualls always seemed to be the most "all-in" for the Dawgs. From recruiting other guys, to general energy on the sideline.

Odd that he would go the JC route rather than go learn the playbook somewhere.

He obviously just wants to play.

He needs to play. Hasn't played much in 2 years.

That and I doubt many teams would take a flyer on a guy who didn't start over Miles (or Lindquist) and played like shit the one time he did. I can't imagine his stock is very high.

A good season at Santa Monica and he should have some options. It's also near his home, sark and his family which may be what he needs right now. He's in a tough spot.

Fwiw. In the scrimmages both in spring and fall that I attended Williams sucked worse than the flying swede. If he would have improved enough I think that we would have seen him take over. If Petersen didn't know he was going to transfer we may have even seen him in the bowl game in my opinion. But black power has likely been zoned out for weeks so tough spot.

Pete gets paid a lot to figure this out. He didnt this year. I've already given up on next year. 2016 is going to be special which probably means it will blow goats. ;)

By design. Troy is going to be successful, as he has a good arm and did well in games. "Garbage time" (LMFAO, btw) at Oregon and in 50mph winds. His ball was tighter than Miles', and made better decisions. CP knows what he's doing in order to make no controversy, I'm just pissed that he did it at the cost of possibly winning games. Oh well, guess the chart knows best.

At least 2015 will be more exciting in that a Petersen QB will be starting. That right there is something to build off of otherwise if Miley starts another game, we'll be seeing brigades of Seattle football fans assembling, decked out in 12's gear looking to punch him out.

Meh. A lot of people are not going to care shortly after the start of next season. See late season attendance for details.

Williams got a raw deal. You don't know till you see a man play in a game if he has it. I'm not judging Williams on starting in a monsoon. I'd be pissed watching miles from the sidelines.

He came to UW as a four-star recruit out of Narbonne High School in Harbor City, Calif., where he was an honorable mention Parade All-American as a senior.

Something just doesn't smell right with the QB situation.

I am 81% sure Peterman went with the QB who sucked the least and would not throw interceptions.

But how the hell does the program have three highly ranked QB's and not one is decent.

It just doesn't work for me.
They all really suck, and BAD. Add Montana to that group of Sarks gems

I think we'll beat BSU to get off on the right foot (though the game will be a pick 'em or BSU may be even favored slightly). They'll have a new starting QB too but also have to replace Ajayi. Plus Petersen and staff are pretty familiar with their roster since they recruited pretty much all of their guys who will be starting in 2015.

I've never believed in the infallibility of coaches when it comes to quarterbacks. Of course Petersen knows 1000 times more than I do. But after a year of Miles, skepticism is warranted. Fuck practicing hard - play like a winner or get the fuck out.

Williams is gone its a mute point irregardless but we better have a fucking QB next year that isn't a retard or start the next coaching search

    Bolded parts.

    1. Great self awareness, Race. Try applying it.

    2. New management. Conform or GTFO. Sark would play gamers. Pete disagrees. See JoJo, Peters and Qualls for more evidence.

Sounds like you miss the Sizzlin Sark Salesman?

For those that have taken over for a slap dick manager/business/program- I 100% agree with his methods. I benched the CFO and the best field engineer for similar slackiness. Performance and bonuses suffered temporarily but we are rolling now...

TL:DR: short term detriment for long term gain.
The problem with your theory is that there is no gain short or long term with Miley. He's a dope smoking miscreant who got his ass suspended to the detriment of the team. It has nothing to do with Sark, who recruited him.
The problem with your logic is you still dont get the big picture. You're stuck in the weeds.

The gain or loss isn't about Miley, @RaceBannon‌. It isn't about wins this year either. He beat the drum of culture coming here in Dec. 2013 and is following through on his word (shocking)..... much to the agony of us short-sighted fans ( myself included). Read Pete's comments after the first week of spring ball...

I don't disagree with your assessment with Miley ' s play and his personality - at all.

I do disagree that Petersen sees the need to roll out his prized QB recruits this past year and it was clear Troy was dead to him long before the ASU start.

Burning redshirts on QBs with Sarkisian's second hand "dope smoking miscreant" porous offensive line is always special.

TL:DR: He gave up a few losses this year to instill his culture. Cyler sucks but he
has done what we ask after returning - he plays. Next year it's up for grabs. Fish or cut bait.
