The worst of Dawgman was in 2012.
Long story short:
Eklund talks shit about Walker Williams for months on the Doogman boreds.
Williams commits to Wisconsin
Doogman subscribers say WDWHA
The rest of the 2012 in-state recruits say "Hey Sark, UW, and Dawgman - go fuck yourselves."
Kim blames his subscribers for what happened in 2012 after talking to "one of the staff members" - probably Sark. -
As much as I hate the doogman staff, unfortunately we still do rely on them for recruiting info. Sure, Twitter is good for hearing about commits but don't pretend that you don't visit Scout, 24/7, Rivals, etc for recruiting info. Most of the recruiting discussion on here is pulled directly from those sites.dnc said:

Look, I hate Eklund, Kim, Ruth, Lars Fatters, etc. as much as the next guy but unfortunately these recruiting sites are the only source to get info unless you want to wait til after signing day. It is what it is.

Here's the deal - It's all bullshit until a kid verbally commits. When that happens, every news publication will report it, including the Seattle Times. So, unless you're obsessed with hearing recruits say, "it was a great visit," then don't bother.
The only thing you're getting from scout.com are quotes from 17 and 18 year-olds.
BTW, even after a kid verbally commits, it's just a different type of bullshit until signing day.

I put zero stock into what anyone from Dawgman says about what a recruit is thinking/doing/leaning/going. Those guys have proven themselves worthless a mole times over.

The database is great ...
But at the same time, none of the shit matters until they a) give a verbal and b) send in their LOI.
The only other thing to take away from recruiting "in season" is that it provides a good barometer on how well the coaching staff is resonating with HS players and coaches. If you're struggling in recruiting, you're probably BS as a coach. -
