A Thought on Florida Hiring McElwain

Makes me thankful UW can get Peterman and is a reminder that getting a big time coach can be tough. Florida is considered a better job than UW. McElwain was 22-16 at Colorado State, laughable compared to what Petersen did at Boise. McElwain doesn't even have close to the resume Urban Meyer had before going to Florida.

If Gainesville was a person it would look like Jim McElwain

The mighty bowel win over WSU was big time.

I think Michigan is going to also have a rude awakening with their search. I'm thinking Greg Schiano at best for the maize and blue. Don't think Harbaugh(s) or Les Miles is a realistic option there.

I knew Florida was going to hire him 3 weeks ago.....just didn't want to say anything.

If I'm Florida, I'd go after Graham or DickRod. Either would be good hires and it would also benefit UW. Abundance.

A pretty good article on Michigan's search. It says Miles has always been willing to come to Michigan, but they haven't ever offered him the job.BallSacked said:I think Michigan is going to also have a rude awakening with their search. I'm pretty sure Fleenz is close with McElwain, like I think they went to school together or some shit.

CSU officials, including president Tony Frank, entered the picture Wednesday morning to discuss the extent to which the $7.5 million buyout clause in McElwain's contract would be enforced.
