Lenius and Pettis may become good but right now they are JAGs. I understand wanting to close the book on the Sark era but I can't say I've been overwhelmed by their contributions. They are on the field every play now.

I just don't see the reason to give the Cougs any life to end the half. If you run a draw, you end up giving the Cougs a chance to still make a play in the passing game. If you try to kick a long FG in these conditions you might get it blocked and returned for the TD.DerekJohnson said:

Right now the success of our team is driven by our defense, winning the turnover battle, and winning field position. The defense is playing well tonight. Durkee is playing a great game and combined with leach being FS over and over keeps allowing us to win the field position game.
Our offense isn't built to succeed in the 2 minute drill as it plays to all of our weaknesses.
Get the ball to start the half, get a score, and go from there. We're not a team built to win on style points. No reason to do anything that ends up in a FS end of the half like we saw down in Tucson. -
