And Steve Empterman was a 1 star recruit.
He was actually a 2 star. Only offers were from WSU, EWU, Idaho, and some JC's I believe.

Helfrich deserves credit, although the true test will be the next two years. Larry Coker and the others kept it going for a few years before failing. Give it another year or two before popping off.

I can't argue about Petersen. Many are stuck on his resume, but the Boise coaches before him were successful and didn't succeed at their next stops.

There are many other coaches with great previous resumes that ended up failing. Rich Rodriguez at Michigan is another example. No coaching hire is a guarantee, especially ones from lower levels.
This was truly an example of He Needs More Time.

Disagree. The energy and morale around the program was fucked with Rich Rod as coach. Michigan just fucked up the next hire.

    Rich Rod had to go.

He's nothing special at Arizona. If he doesn't beat Oregon ... nobodies talking about him.

The proof was trucking your guys all over the field back in October. Lots of the Ducks involved in that plungering are true Frosh or Sophs, or RSFrosh. Your willful blindness that the current staff ain't Lambo or Coker and Co. will eventually clear up.

Is he Chip? No, but that doesn't automatically doom him either. Our OC to HC promotions have a track record of success.

Is it Boise? No, but that doesn't automatically doom Peterman either. That is my point.

And you have one track record of success. I don't consider Bellotti a home run ... he kept the program from going in the ditch until Chip took it to the next level.

Bellotti was an improvement upon Brooks, no two ways about it.
