I'm not arguing that Petersen is better than Chip. Chip is awesome.

But none of you knew that when Bellotti brought him from nowhere.

And Bellotti built a hell of a lot better program than Sark to follow.

It's not that bad. It's really not. The offensive talent isn't good. That's obvious, but do we need a team full of all stars to score more than 10 points against Stanford and ASU?

I will say this about Chip / Peterman.

We all laughed at Dennis Dixon as a joke of a QB who folded under pressure for 3 years and as soon as Chip arrived at Oregon he looked like the best player in college Football. Thankfully the knee was the MVP of that season.

Chip didn't need multiple years to turn shit QBs into gold. That these 3 look like such crap is troubling

Chip also had a stable of quality running backs and an OL.

Chip turned Jeremiah Masoli and Darren Thomas into good QB's. Oregon has way better offensive talent around, but that is a good point. Last in the conference should not be accepted and it's pathetic that some here are.
Who the fuck is accepting this shit? Saying LIPO isn't the same as accepting this. Christ.
Saying how is Petersen supposed to have a decent offense with no QB, a bad OL, a LB at RB, and shitty WR's is accepting it. 12th in the fucking conference. That's dead last.

The top 3 offensive teams in terms of yards just happen to have the 3 best quarterbacks in the conference and skill players to go with them. The only team with an arguably worse quarterback than us is Utah, and that kid has balls that ours don't. Our qb's won't run for the tough yards like him. OSU is the anomally, they should be higher, but Mannion is also pretty overrated imo. Stanford-UCLA all have at least 2/4 offensive units that are better than ours, whether that be receivers/line/quarterback/rb.

This is not accepting anything but reality. I'm pissed that we can't even gain 3 consecutive first downs more than once a game, but Sark still left no fucking ammo on offense. That has become the biggest doog myth about this team, and was basically the main reason we were supposed to win 10+ games this year.

In 2008, Chip's offense thumped the shit out of Purple Jesus and the gang in the first week of the season while using a QB platoon of a future FCS back-up, a passing fullback on campus for a month, and a future KSU wideout.

Again, I'm not expecting a great offense. Just better than 12th. 10 combined offensive points against Stanford and ASU. Best rushing game since conference play began, and 3 fucking points was the result.

Worry about your own coach. You are completely theorizing at this point. Oregon's staff came out queefing eggs and whining that Mariota was hurt when they got embarrassed at home, after they used him as a fucking receiver. Your own program may have problems down the road.

Who did Chip beat at New Hampshire? The fucking laundry thinks you're pressing

At NH, at UO, at Philly, Chip has demonstrated an ability to rapidly revamp his offensive scheme to fit his personnel, all while winning hardware.

By that standard, peenerman has accomplished shit.
Your goal is *ahem* hardware. Ours is Waterford Crystal.

Don't be a twister, it speaks volumes.

    But you knew that
Better than peenerman at making shit QBs into serviceable trigger men too. Masoli was identified as the starter after game 2 and the offense tooled to what he could do. Everyone involved admitted Masoli was a "color thrower" for most of 2008. For the slow, that means he didn't have mastery of the offense yet. Chip made due with that level of play.

For the record, Jeremiah Johnson, the starting RB, was a seventh rounder talent. Good vision, great stiff arm, but no elite speed or quickness.

You should be expecting, and getting, more than you are seeing for 3.5 million dollars per.

Yeah it sounds like Cantard has his panties in a bunch about Petersen...like Petersen didn't return his calls or something.

Even though BSU was in the WAC/MWC, Petersen was 10-3 vs. BCS opponents. He had a winning record vs. the Pac-12 and even had a winning record vs. ranked BCS opponents.

No matter how hard he wants to press and claim Petersen sucks, he simply can't explain away his success against teams with better talent from BCS conferences.

I remember Petersen beating Chimp as an OC, then a coach.

    The explanation is easy.

Two and three game seasons for spud state and Kellen Moore being phenomal from day one. Lots of coaches look great with an NFL caliber QB, limited walking wounded, and extra weeks to prepare.

Part of my theorizing is that the weekly big boy grind exposes peenermans shortcomings in lots of areas. He's already showing poorly in roster management.

Congrats on beating an 0-12 team with a bad coach the team didn't like
