If they seriously wanted to improve the show they'd boot Baird and put in someone like Lambright.

Although I'm sure they'd be afraid to have Lambo since he appears to be a straight shooter.

Hate to disappoint you, but I've heard Lambright on kjr over the years. He applauds Sark at every turn. Maybe it's because he is involved with the stadium renovation, or maybe it's because he is a good guy. Whatever the reason, he is not the critic you think.

If you really wanted a straight shooter, get a former player who doesn't give a rip. How about Donald Jones? He lives on the east coast, so he doesn't have to see any of these people, and his son was just jerked around during recruiting?

Why are you acting like you are surprised? When has Softy ever interviewed a Husky/Former Husky and it not be an on air hand job?

Never said I was surprised, but admittedly I listened in case something tangible was discussed.

In my view, Softy's best moment is when he gave himself an on-air thrashing for advocating to give tyrone a 4th year. Although it was too little too late and it was the least he could do, when is the last time a member of the media actually said "I was wrong and stupid"? It actually sounded heartfelt, and like he really meant it. Again, I am NOT giving this guy a pass for all the softballs he has lobbed to coaches over the years, and his love fest with everyone around signing day's OL failures makes me barf. However, nobody else from kjr, espn radio, seattle times, pi, news tribune, everett herald would have given themselves such a beating.

PS. And you don't need to talk to me about baird. I've locked horns with him on air in a very real way.
Okay, I agree with that, but here's the problem... Did Softy learn from it and change his ways? There he was a couple years later alluding to the Half Brains by saying that the people out there who won't jump on the Sark bandwagon must have something wrong with them not to see what's going on.

Agreed. Fair enough. As I said, I'm not giving the guy a pass. Just pointing out one of his bright moments.

The Husky honks is the worst. Dick Baird is absolutely terrible.

I think even the Doogs don't like Baird.

How can you say that?! Dick cares about THE KIDS MORE THAN ANYONE!
    Sandusky! True?

Softy's best moment will be the moment he either dies in a fucking fire or chokes to death on a ham sandwich.

I'm not posting a link because it's not worth it. Empty fluff. Nothing more.

Apparently Damon has some new role with the team where he "works with the kids" or something. Whatever. I was hoping that Softy would ask Damon about the offensive line and the recruiting of OLs. No such luck. It was all "Austin is a nice kid," and "I'm a big fan of Keith Price" emptiness.

The only takeaway for me is the question of how I can get those 6 minutes of my life back.

If you listen to the King of the Doogs, you're likely a Doog.

    Softy learn from it?

Softy was pissed after the Vegas Bowl and was saying we need to win 10 games this year.
However that will be the exception to his norm. His job depends on him not being critical of anything UW. Meanwhile doogman has chosen to get in bed with UW & AD. As a result, the major sources for UW football outside of UW are no longer impartial nor offer constructive criticism. It's why sites like this are even more important and will naturally grow in importance.

I don't expect Lambright to come in and be like us as KJR won't allow it. However, after let's say the Alamo Bowl I doubt Lambo would be saying Holt should keep his job and perhaps just have a Co-DC.

The Honks show is hopeless anyways as they are all Sark ball sniffers including Hugh. Why anyone with 1/4 of a brain still listens to that garbage I don't know.

Softy always pulls what we call the "AuburnDoog". Which is in the offseason have great expectations then when those expectations aren't met keep moving goal posts with excuses.

I remember after the USC win, Softy saying we should be competing for a Rose Bowl by 2012. These jokers always talk a good game in the offseason but never hold the coach accountable when he fails to reach that goal.
