Whether the Washington Constitution bans an income tax or not is a very debatable proposition, which is why the 1930s Washington Supreme Court decision in question was 5-4. Legal precedents can be revisited—it's not like I should need to tell you girls that. But also, the voters can be asked to moot that legal question by amendment.
