I just don't understand how you can look at that Wisconsin Iowa game for even a minute and think that this loss might be coming.
This loss is almost more unbelievable than the comedy of bullshit that happened in big pussyville last year. The "Did We Really Get Beat That Badly" graph looks exactly how you would expect it to.

My negativity going into Wiscy was simply due to our road ineptitude under Judd, which is its own issue.
No part of me thinks UDub should actually be losing to a 2-6 team with a punter as their leading passer on the day.
I mean .. c'mon -
I was looking at the Oregon game and seeing how Oregon struggled to score at home against Wisconsin.
It was a road game in shitty weather against a defense with a pulse and we suck on the road. I did expect to win, but I thought it would be close and I didn’t expect to score many points based on our history.
It’s not all Demond’s fault, but the two turnovers were the difference in the game. Wisconsin was not going to drive and score a TD with that kind of QB play.
His struggles are hopefully being a young QB asked to do too much at this point. He’s been great and he’s been bad at other times, but the talent is there. The consistency will hopefully develop. You are out of your mind if you think 90% of programs, even the blue bloods wouldn’t love for him to be their QB.

Part of the blame being put on him is unfair. The offensive line is terrible. But that's the deal when you're a QB. Too much credit, too much blame.
-
I think he’s not taking too much blame because every is more pissed about Fisch, and rightly so. That said, everything would be different around here if he didn’t have the two turnovers. We would be relieved that we won an ugly game and still dreaming of winning out.

Well multiple people have called Demond dumb, and I don't think that's necessarily the case. I don't think that's a fair criticism to level considering what he has to work with.
-
Agreed. I didn't think they would cover but thought they would grind out a win (something like 23-16).
What really chaps my hide is that UW was coming off a bye so they were healthy as they had been since the first bye and had plenty of time to game-plan for a good Wisconsin D. What I instead saw was a very vanilla and non-creative offense that couldn't get it done because Wisconsin was taking away the deep ball yet UW couldn't run them out of their deep coverage by making them bring a safety down to stop the run.
Fisch is lucky in that he has Purdue at home to lick his wounds and then goes to UCLA to take on a team that will have lost 3 in a row (they are @ Ohio State this weekend). Boston, Coleman, and Azzopardi will should miss the Purdue game and Azzopardi may be out for the year (L. Hatchett may need to miss the Purdue game too). Hopefully Boston and Coleman are back for the UCLA game and Finau gets more comfortable playing RT because Faasolo either belongs inside or at SJSU.

Do you not think QBs make their lines better or worse? Similar to the "it's always the HC" when discussing coordinates it feels like many Olines go as the QB does.
If Penix was here would this oline look a lot better because he has the ball in Roebucks hands 1.5 seconds after the snap?
