Terrible news
-
Don't want to derail the thread too much on this.
I don't recall my response as "flying off the handle" but admit that I haven't gone back to re-read the whole thing. I will nonetheless leave you to your own opinions about it.
-
When I wrote that it was with a proverbial twinkle in my eye. I thought you'd pick up on the playfulness of the quip. But in retrospect it was probably a poor choice of words as it implied that you melted down in anger. So no, I just remember you pushing back on the notion of Shockey being mediocre.
I also wrote that while losing sight of the fact that it was in the obit thread, which was also not what I would normally do.

^ I'm just glad Roadie is back and in one piece, especially in light of what has happened with our? fellow Husky @pawz.
A few days later and I'm still pretty bummed about the news. It really sucks. 47. Such bullshit.
It would be great, if not a little sad, to have Dwag go on an epic run and win a natty for him. If there be another place where we maintain any kind of awareness of terrestrial goings on, I am sure he'd be thrilled.

Just glad we got that swarthy, Iberian temper under control. It was unseemly.
-
Like we say in recovery, one day at a time.
-
Same. His last text to me was basically, "If I feel well enough from chemo let's smoke weed and talk shit somewhere," on Sep 5th.
-
I'm always down for this. Who's setting up the 1st annual PAWZ poker tournament? I'm in and will hereby dox myself. Somebody PLEASE invite Hhusky!
-
HHusky is ready (pawz always chinned this photo). RIP.
-
Disagree.
-
Horrible news. RIP
-
This is sad news to me. Messaged with Pawz privately many times over the years. Reasonable, fair minded, and a true fan. 47 is beyond sad. Should have had 40 more to go. Fair winds and following seas Andrew…
-
Disagree. I don't like having to bully @creepycoug . Civilized discourse is better.
-
He was definitely in my top ten of posters, probably top five. I don't want to be insensitive, hijacky, and Tuggy, but once Covid hit, we had a lot of common ground as to how it was (totally mis)handled.
-
Like many of you, I met Andrew several tims in person. Unlike the rest of you troglodytes, he was a gentleman.* He was one of the first people to send me a house warming gift when I moved out of state. Strangely enough we were actually neighbors for awhile in Bellevue. Small world.
And as many of you have all ready said, fuck cancer with a rusty cheese grater. It’s taken too many good people from us.
*Which for HCH is giving my ass an appreciative slap instead of a full on grab.

He's back.
