While the last two games sucked, I was really happy about how Petersen won those games. At HI, he knew we had an advantage in the running game. At the end of the game, he did nothing stupid. He pounded it and milked the clock. Done. Against EWU, he took advantage of our size and pounded the ball. He stayed committed to the run never getting flustered. Done. Nothing stupid.
The D remains a work in process as noted everywhere. But, the work is really in the back end. We need a corner to step up against IL to start opposite Peters against Stanford. Hopefully, Dixon brings. I only say Dixon because he's more physically mature vs Kelly, Jones, et. al.
Some random thoughts I didn't get to or forgot about on the podcast:
Petersen makes me confident the defensive issues will get better. He's picking up sunflower seeds and obsessing over every detail of the program. I bet he was involved more heavily than normal this week. He's not Sark who only cared about the QB and play calling. He cares about every single aspect and won't stand for those kind of performances. I remember watching an Urban Meyer interview after Ohio State beat Indiana 52-49 in Meyer's first year at Ohio State. When asked about it, Meyer said he was going to become a lot more involved on that side of the ball. I see Petersen doing the same. That's my hope at least.
This team should still win 10 games. Maybe it will be 9-4 with a bowl win, but 10+ should still be the goal. Sark was an average coach and could have won 9 games in both 2011 and 2012. In 2011, a good coach beats Oregon State and Baylor. In 2012, WSU and Boise State. This team isn't any worse than those two. Despite the bumpy road, we will be 4-0 going into conference play. Other than Oregon, no team looks unbeatable. Petersen should be able to win at least 5 conference games.

I don't want to be a twister, but huh?
5 w/ccp > 5 w/ sark. Some of you need to learn the difference.

RoadDoog was channeling his inner Aubbie with that poast.
Every team in the pac 12 looks like shit to varying degrees except for Oregon. Multiple teams already look vastly overrated. With exceptions like Wazzu and Colorado who are eye-stabbingly bad (Hi Beezlebub!), it's a matter of which teams are going to improve the most/fastest this year. Not your faggot quarterback and not how you finished last year. UW should be fine at the end of the season. 10 wins.
That was a pretty good listen, major props on bumper music, The Fixx always rocks. U guys didnt pull any punches with how bad the team looked, but to assume 9 wins is nonsense, no way in heck are there 5 conference wins, i had u at 8 because offense was going to be pedestrian, with d reverting to nick holt levels 7 wins is now max

Fuck off. You're clueless. Also, thanks for the screenshot.

Isn't Sark the same guy who couldn't punch it in against Notre Dame with 8 fucking chances?
Where was you god then?
