Tequilla's Ohio State Post Mortem Thoughts

Patience is for losers

Just outside of the CFP is likely 9-3
8-4 would be disappointing because it means we likely didn't win any of the coin flip games and/or lost at least 1 game that we had no business losing.
There's nothing that we've seen to date that makes that Top 15 target an unrealistic expectation
-
Top 13-15 in year 2 with a playoff loss or a good bowl win would be efficient even by today's standards if you have to bring in your own talent and players. Jedd mostly had to do that.
You've acknowledged that a loss to Ohio State and a win vs Oregon and a playoff loss would be a GOOD season.
Nothing about Saturday changes that outside of some 45-10 outcome.

I haven't changed 11-2 or out
It's still on the table
I gave him a mulligan year. I'm only asking that he do what his shitty predecessor did
I've been patient
-
His predecessor exhausted his losses pretty quick then shaped up. That's great coaching obviously.
With what I'm seeing In not giving up on the kids yet. Humbling experiences are worth more than most in life. Shows you what you need to do.

If we win at Maryland this weekend, that would be an outstanding signal that this group is legit and committed to winning.
Fisch is not Ty but he might be Crazy Larry, EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!!! He might need an OC to call plays. We’re 16 games in, and while I think he’s done a ton of real good things shepherding UW into the new era, the X’s and O’s under pressure seem a little suspect.
-
10 consecutive 1 year stops in the NFL says his x’s and 0’s and under pressure play calling weren’t great.
-
I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and judge him by what I've seen at UW.
Oh, right.
-
Shane Waldron has a comparable NFL resume. Make him say no when Fisch goes to Florida.
-
UW's offensive and defensive lines are above average — maybe. But they aren't close to good enough to compete with playoff-caliber teams. There are good players, but there is little depth. It's just a fact. UW isn't "there" yet.
