Way to commemorate an Alamo Bowel victory that would have been a loss to anyone but Nick Holt's shit defense. I know he won the Heisman, but still. Ho lee shit.

Baylor will have to really change their entrance standards once Texas gets serious about football again.
All Texas needs to do is stop offering 8th grade superstars scholarships... or... at least start pulling them in the 11th hour and let those 8GSS fall to shitty programs in need of 'star power' to sell tickets.

Texas can get pretty much whatever Texas kids they want, whenever they want them, so I'm not sure I buy this argument. Yes, they get a lot of early commits, but if those kids start looking like they aren't worth it, you can bet your ass they replace them.

Fixed that for you ... SEC!!! SEC!!! SEC!!!
Another school that will come crashing down to earth when Mack Strong moves from position coach to head coach.
Some of my co-workers just sent their kids to that fucked up place ... talk about a fucking cult.

Jesus.
The state of Texas easily has enough talent for both of them. I'm not sold on A&M becoming a great program, but it won't be because of Texas. If Sumlin is what the media thinks he is, Texas A&M will be here to stay regardless of what happens at Texas. I need to see some defense before I believe that.

They won't become a great program with LSU, Auburn, and Bammer in the same division. Maybe if the NCAA developed a backbone and punished cheating schools like that, they could dominate, but that's not happening anytime soon. Arkie can be good at times too. Sumlin and J. Faggot got them off the mat from a very average program to a 9-3 type team.
They got butthurt and jealous when Texas got really greedy about 5 years ago and didn't want to play second fiddle. It's understandable, but they belong in the XII, just like Nebraska.
They were never an elite program for any long period of time. They had a pretty good run in the late 80s and 90s under Slocum, but the old Southwest Conference was pretty bad at that time (Texas kind of sucked, SMU was awful after being shut down, TCU was not like they are now, and when they joined the 12, Okie sucked and Okie State really sucked). They're kind of a tier 2 power like us.

Kids who would have gone to Texas are heading to Baylor and A&M.
Mack Brown gave up long ago and was drinking from the booster bowl.
When Strong gets up and running ... A&M will go back to what they have always been ... a bunch of wannabe sheep fuckers.
LSU, Arkansas (if they get serious again), OSU, OU, Alabama, and Auburn will all eat at the trough long before A&M.

A&M will be an interesting team to watch now that Sumlin's "pure" offense will be in place. With Manziel, he made adjustments and let him do Manziel things. Offensively, Sumlin is more or less Leach but not as FS because he runs the ball effectively. That 500 yard game that Hill put up is no at all uncommon for his offenses (see Case Keenum). But you're right on about defense, I'm not at all sold on A&M as a complete team as S Carolina is consistently overrated. It's Labor Day and I'm drunk and I'm losing my train of thought here, but we'll see what somebody not named Manziel can do when they have to play from behind.

Oklahoma and Okie Lite weren't in the Southwest Conference and Oklahoma's been mostly good ever since they came into the Big 12 other than the first few years ...
When it comes to the pulse of Texas football, I've got that shit dialed in
