I saw a Reddit thread at least 15 years ago called "Cars of Alabama" or something like that. Every post was a picture of an Alabama football player driving a six-figure car, filling it up with gas, etc. All had personalized plates and—usually not very tasteful—"upgrades." So not rentals.
