I posted this on the game thread, but figured it might need a separate thread.
WTF Holden? The dude really spat on a defender while we? are in goal to go in a top 3 matchup? I did like how he laughed it off on the field and trying to flex like it was no big deal, then the moment the camera pans to him in the tunnel, he collapses in absolute emotional pain. Hopefully the kid learns something from this. Because that was dumbAF.
Derrick Harmon is a fucking beast, that is all I can say about him
That onside kick if intentional is an amazing strategy. You play dodgeball with the receiving front line, and if they dodge it, then at worse you get a squib kick. If it does make contact then there's a chance the ball bounces back into the kicking team's direction, making a recovery much more likely.
The 12th man penalty at the end of the game was NFL level scheming. Chess vs checkers move, that will honestly lead to a rule change in the next year or so.
Jordan James ran very well, but people aren't talking enough about his blitz pickups. Jordan James single handedly prevented five sacks that I could count in that game. Absolute gamer.
Oregon's secondary is not very good. They don't play the ball, and it could be an issue come playoff time.
Ohio State found out that they can't simply leave their corners on an island.
Denzel Burke might have cost himself a full round to a round and a half draft position in this game alone. That guy got absolutely abused by Evan Stewart.
The crowd noise at Autzen hit a new stratosphere. Rumors are the crowd hit over 130 decibels at one point.
Considering how Oregon limited Ohio State's rushing attack, it's safe to say that Ashton Jeanty needs to be the top player as of now on the Heisman list.

I don’t see any of this in the official game thread.
There's like 3 game threads
But only one official
Nevermind, I put it in Race's weekly Oregon prediction thread.
The 12th man penalty was pretty bush league shit. Congrats on it working, I guess, but what a pathetic way to go about winning. I guess that should be expected with how many injuries the Ducks have faked over the years.
We all make mistakes.
I was shocked Oregon kept trading blows. Couldn’t believe what I was watching. I still think Lanning is a ding dong and continues to leave points on the field. He can’t continue this madness in our most important games.
The Ohio State thread
Sorry man. Hope you can get over it someday.
There's no honor when the game is on the line. Outside of recklessly putting players in danger, you pull every trick on the planet to win the game. NFL teams have done stuff like this for years. The Ravens did something like this on a punt against Cincinnati a few years ago, and Vrabel used a clock trick against Belichick that led to a rule change later that offseason. Finding discrete loopholes like what Lanning and his staff found Saturday night is called good coaching. I'd rather win the "wrong" way legally according to the rules than lose the "right" way.
Was never really under it. Pretty easy to call a spade a spade and not be emotionally invested. I understand that Oregon football is all you have in your life, though.
I did say congrats on it working. I would rather win than lose. You should also expect people to talk shit about it when that's the tactic you have to take to win.
He can keep it going. We saw UW do that for 2/3 of last season.
holden’s snap share needs to start being trimmed down. He’s an absolute liability, tries to start shit every game with the opposing corner.
Ok, because it still seems like it’s bothering you a great deal with the way you’re lashing out. You just said it’s from a very unemotional angle and then tried to insult me. Seems overly emotional to be honest.
Very unemotional. Doesn’t even care.
Ok.
Holden's a dumbfuck
Denzel Burke lost $10 million in one game
Tez made $1-2 million
Harmon and Jordan James are fucking tanks
Autzen was fucking insanity. my ears are still ringing.
Not sure how you can blame Dan for some of those points not being scored. The extra point was entirely on the holder. Missed FG on the kicker. DG, who until this game couldn't stop looking for Tez every play, ignores him on the goal line when he is wide open. Oregon very easily could have had an additional 8 points in that game and could of had 16 more. We should have beaten them by at least 10.
It was pretty greasy and I'm kind of shocked he was able to come up with that bidness on the fly. Very un-like Dan.
But if it's not a rule violation, then it's not cheating.
Because he went for 2
Because he went on 4th and 1 instead of taking 3
Thats 4 points
That’s how
