Wearing pink helmets against the cuoug proves my point, not yours Boblet. 2013 it was a blackout and Oregon was asked to wear white themed based on that alone.

Agree with UW 2023 >UO2014 except for "won a better semifinal." Oregon curbstomped the undefeated, defending national champs (28 game win streak), led by the NFL #1 draft pick.
Sure, the noles looked crappy in a lot of games that season, but are you really going to go there after all of the nailbiter, sloppy wins UW had last year? If anything, UW was a lot like 2014 FSU without having won the previous year's natty.
Texas had a loss, which, by your own rubric, makes them a lesser win than 2014 FSU.
Marcus also won the Heisman that year, whereas Penix did not (but certainly deserved it).
But otherwise, agree that UW's natty loss season edges out Oregon's.

I think it’s time the college football world finally talked about who had the better season, 2022 TCU or 2012 Notre Dame.
I’m willing to tussle over a lot of stupid things about college football but splitting hairs over who had the better first loser season is not one of them.I could easily troll this but I have no interest. I’ll let the Costco boys have an aneurism over this one.

Better pro prospect than Penix IMO, other than the 'between the ears' part.
BJC was known for being lazy and not learning the playbook in the NFL. Like, man, you're a QB. You are the last player on the team that can skip the playbook. That kind of shit haunted him. He should have been a solid pro. Maybe not HOF. Those guys are born and you can't build them on measurables or predict who it'll be. I didn't see Drew Brees coming. Did anyone else? Really? But there's no reason Camaro should not have been a solid Kirk Cousins type of QB with a decent 5 to 10 year career. Well, one reason as it turns out. -
