Thanks Taft!

so three more mid dudes. Not mid like the kids say mid but mid like we’re not beating anyone stought to get these kids. Not saying they suck, don’t twist. Kind of.
Hawt take of the day - the dawgs recruiting class could finish outside of the top 25. This is a big maybe but there are enough teams close enough to them point wise, with 5-10 less commits, that could leap frog them. I’d be disappointed as hell but that’s about where my expectations would’ve landed them.
Now, if big fish reels in a couple of unexpected giant tunas they could make a run for top 20. That’d give me a hard on.
Time will tell. Awfully warm for dec… fuck the kids. -
This class will most likely finish between 20 and 30 based on size alone. I’m more concerned with the average rating of each recruit as a whole. DeBoers first full class for 2023 at UW averaged out at 88.17. They finished 29th overall in HS recruiting. This current class rates as a whole at 88.07. Unless Fish bags some big ones to finish and some of the high 3* kids they’ve got get a bump, this 2025 class will likely finish outside the top 25. I think the bumps happen and Fish improves upon Boners 88.17 and sneaks inside the top 25 when it’s all said and done though.

Who gives a shit. Some of those players are from WA state and have good film, they just aren't underwear olympics superstars.
I'd rather we take a chance with a scholarship on in state OL and DL and build relationships with kids who want to be here, then spend a bunch of time recruiting Florida (I will still love good Florida commits, don't twist).
The one kid had no other P5 offers besides Duke, but fuck it, start taking these kids. Lake and DeBoer showed us how not to recruit our own region.
I like my WARSHINGTON with players from WASH TON

The guy from NE that went to Florida understands the wins in getting instate kids from WA.
Does Fisch 1-2 years in the program lose out on BOTH Emeka and JTT? We don't deal in hypotheticals but it's worth asking.

we? give a shit.

Espousing ‘who gives a shit’ about recruiting ratings on the recruiting bored! Must be Tac Town Tuff to say such things. Next you’ll tell me how more 3* players get drafted than 5* players every year. Following recruiting is kinda fun. It’s enjoyable to get excited over kids everyone wants and to delve into the merits of the lesser rated recruits. Why you got to piss on my orange slices? Penix, Polk, Brailsford and Westover were the only overlooked recruits on the offense last year. Everyone else were bonafide blue chip kids that all the big programs wanted. Ratings do matter when you’ve got good coaches to develop them.

Ratings matter but not as much as recruiting WA state.
There are enough good players in WA to take 4 to 8 or so every year, depending on the year.
Worrying about finishing #17 versus #26 at UW right now is pointless in the portal era.
UW is never, ever going to finish in the top 10 consistently. Finishing in the top 10 at all would he miraculous.
As long as UW is developing talent well with good coaches, classes between 15 to 29 can get the job done.
30 and higher is failure, I will say.

Fair.

Every year we see studs at WSU, Oregon State, Boyzee, and even EWU from WA that were overlooked by other programs and developed into monsters.
And you can't tell me those programs are better at development
