TYFYS, I remember watching this back on the Viacom box remote. I haven't had a similar feeling about a Husky recruit since outside of maybe Shaq Thompson.

watched him shred the Broncos in 1997 when I was down in SF for a weekend. We took BART out to Okland for the game and managed to not get stabbed in the parking lot.
I’ve been to Raiders games in Oakland. The whole “I didn’t get stabbed in the parking lot” thing is dumb. Nicest group of fans I’ve ever met.

@DerekJohnson might know this for sure but I think the players who were seniors in 94 were given the opportunity to transfer because of the probation penalties and none of them did.
i think in Kaufman's case it was considered a no brainer he would declare for the NFL and then shocked the world by becoming the first 10-star recruit in Washington history.

Our well-being was never in peril until the BART ride back but that didn’t have anything to do with the game.

Nip-Nap wouldn't have portaled to Oregon prior to the 94 season. Football hadn't yet been invented in Eugene.
i vaguely remember a photo of Lambright smiling with Nip at a podium on the cover of the Seattle times after the announcement.
