Not that I've read it, NYBE

I'm not quite there yet. I was convinced there was no reason to get rid of sark because woody would screw up the hire. So I was shocked and excited when he didn't.

I like what I have read so far, but I need to LIFPO a little while longer.

I mocked Sark from day 1 (Free PUB!), but also wanted to see what the first year or two would bring. It didn't take long for me to realize we had a turd on our hands.

It's the opposite with Petersen, I like what he is doing, but I do need to see some results. My judgement of Petersen will be the same as for Sark, which was the same for Rick. Scoreboard baby!

As a #TCUSuperiorityGuy, I'm admittedly not a huge Boise fan ... it was very easy from a distance to pop off about what Boise did and how they won ... however, they did win often and even in situations where I felt TCU had better talent than Boise, they always found a way to at worst stay in a game or at best win the game.

I started turning my tune just a bit on Boise after the Vegas Bowl because we had no business losing to them (see the game 9 months later), but we were clearly out coached and Boise's execution of the details was night and day different.

The more that you see of Petersen, the more you realize that there's a damn good reason he's been 92-12 and that when you look at the 12 there's a reason why many of those games were close losses. When you think about it, in no more than 5% of the games that he's ever coached has he been in a position where you could argue that his team was plungered. If he loses, he's in the game in the 4th quarter with a chance to win. In comparison, Seven would get plungered at least 3x a year to the point that he was as wide open as a glory hole.

It's nice to be doogish with a reason. It's nice to have an expectation that we're going to win fucking football games. It's nice to be back in the mindset that it's ok to be pissed if we lose. I like having expectations. This season will be fun. My sweatpants say so.

Chris Petersen is a proven cure for depression. Just read Race's post versus his stuff during the Gilby/Willingham/Sark eras.
