Want to settle a debate at work that has $50 riding on it, so I couldn't include cute options like The Field or Reno or whatever. Which of these two all-time great historical epics do you like more?
Overall Gladiator is slightly better because Maximus Decimus Meridius, Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife, is just a bad ass.

Yeah, it has Orlando Bloom (who does an okay job) and would have been a lot better with someone else, but it has badass production and fight scenes.
