The reality

We’re not a serious program if DeWhore (sorry, I’m upset) leaves.

Lanning turned down Bama, Oregon stepped up
Sark turned down Bama, Texas stepped up
Norvell turned down Bama, FSU stepped up
DeBoer?

Hiring Grubb will just cement that…

You'd be mad at DeBoer and not the UW administration that couldn't close the deal?

Babs and Tawd would be so proud

What program in their right mind would go after Lanning before DeBoer? There's not contest here.
I'd bet my life savings he was never offered or seriously considered.

Not Bama, but Lanning grabbed that off season natty hat and ran w/ it. Nor do I think Norvell was ever in the running.
I think Sark and KDB were 1/2.
Sark is in a better position @ Tejas than Bama is now, Bama won’t be top 4 in the SEC next year. Whoever takes that job, KDB included, is out after 2 years. That fan base won’t stand for it.

Cope harder. He was never offered because he turned down the interview.

Makes total sense. We want the guy who got outcoached by the other three times with everything on the line basically who has never won a big game ever as a coach because he recruits with endless bags and makes corny videos. Alright.

I wouldn't assume anything in college football. They might have liked him because he recruits well and because he has Kirby bonafides and Saban knows him. Others might think, as have I at times, that KDB is a good coach but also was able to ride Penix and some WRs to a result that might not be his norm in big boy football.

Of all the places, this is the last one that needs reminding that there are a million narratives out there, just like the one that is being built in this very thread.

Did he really get outcoached? This whole board supported his 4th down "balls!" decision in game 1. The other narrative is that he had better players, or at least a better QB and WR crew.

He's 0-3 with a better team. He got outcoached. Has nothing to do with 4th down quite honestly

Yeah but he did have his team fake injuries to try and stay in games. That's good coaching. Having you Duck losers here is pointless because it's a bunch of a fans of one team who are self deprecating and pessimistic but the only time you'll even dip your toes in those waters is with Helfrich, who was the last coach to take you to where UW was four days ago.

Honestly what's the ballot for his biggest win as a head coach:

    -UW in Seattle this year
-Jerry Falwell in an empty stadium in Phoenix
-Utah take your pick of year
-Giving some 17 year old kid's scumbag dad a bag of Nike money (take your pick)
    -Plungering Prime
-Hail Mary win over North Carolina in a baseball stadium

    I want an actual answer

What was the Hail Mary from the unc game?

    Pretty debatable IMO.
