Can none of the DB's that have been recruited play? Are they all shit? It is possible that one or two of them might end up being good. Dunn, Presley, Reed, Bryant are all still on the roster. RS freshman DB's can take a jump. Not saying they will but to dismiss them like they don't exist seems a bit premature. They were all playing behind 4th, 5th and 6th year players on a title worthy team. LIPO on the young guys
I forgot about Dunn. He is someone that could be good.
With the young corners, the fact they didn't get any run when we had a revolving door of whoever didn't get burned between Dixon and EJ is a little concerning. That position was a very weak link on the defense last year.
Also don't think the coaching at that position was great. Apparently neither did DeBoer because he never extended juice but did everyone else if I remember correctly. They still have hope.
I think Dixon has a bright future. Still young, started to get in the flow as the season went along. I see a higher ceiling than EJ for sure. No knock on EJ but he's just too slow for faster WRs. He's solid against bigger physical receivers though.
And yes, DB coaching wasn't great. Lot of bad technique. Almost have to give these DBs a chance to prove themselves again. Almost.
There's a reason neither Julius Juice OJ Brown or Chuck Steak Morrell were invited to Alabama.
Our secondary was clearly coached by morons these last two years, and while I know nothing about John Richardson, I'll doogishly and blindly assume that he'll do a lot more with this group than the outgoing guys did. LIFPO.
Dorian Thomas was at UW this past weekend, he was supposed to commit to UW, he is from Kent Washington.
Fish not keeping UW guys or stealing Arizona guys...
DC still MIA but rumor is Desani guy that got demoted mid season for being a weird
Seems to be a hole in the fisher of boys net.
He better figure his shit out. Still early, LIPO - I fucking know, but you can’t get the stud TE to follow the stud WR and you can’t get a local kid to come home. Not a good look Fish.

The DCs arent being brought over or retained because the run defense was horrific
The secondary was actually top 25 in efficiency despite being in a conference with a lot of good passing attacks.
Bo Nix and Ewers both struggled to throw for the vast majority of their games against us.
Jackson was not giving up much, and obviously won us the Sugar Bowl. He is being criminally underrated by some here.
2022 wasnt as good, but the entire secondary was also hurt.

If we only end up with like 5 players from Zona we are doomed.gif
I think so far Fish has got 1 player off the actual Zona roster that played last year, the others were early enroll/transfers that weren't really on the team last year.

We have Cuevas and Otton, so maybe they is no immediate path to playing time at TE, unlike QB and RB
