Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Sad to say i can't celebrate this the way i should. Found out my father in law had died sometime the night before right at kickoff. Spent the evening sorting things out and consoling my wife.
After the chaos settled and I'd put everyone to bed I realized one of the last things he'd told me was that even though he was a Fighting Irish fan he'd be watching and rooting for my dwags to win it all yesterday. It wasn't like I was going to sleep anyway so poured some left over booze and watched the game on recording.
My father in law was a good man and raised two kids as a blue collar hard working Irishman. He was one of the most patient people I knew and taught me to be a better father. I'm going to miss talking football with him every season while my wife rolls her eyes at us.
My wife told me that the Huskies better win it all or she will personally castigate the whole team and everyone on this silly stupid site.
Go Dwags.

Hang in there, bud.
Team of Destiny.
I'm so glad I decided against it and was home which obviously is not what I expected.
This post started as an explanation why I'm not whooping it up all over the boards but here we are.
Go Dawgs.
Just a reminder to appreciate family and friends and maybe reach out to those you haven't talked to in a while.
Even if it's just to talk shit to your cousins in Texas.
This has me realizing I spent more time as an adult with my deceased FIL than with my own dad. FIL used to annoy me at times but I definitely learned a lot from him.
