I’ve been downplaying the whole Durfee factor all season but reading comments from his OL and DL teammates has me thinking he might be the real deal.

I'm a little confused so can someone edumacate me ...

    - Durfee is now eligible for the semifinal CFP game as per NCAA.

So, does this mean he burns a year of eligibility for 1 game, potentially 2 games if we make the CFP final?

Or is there something I'm missing?

I understand that you strike while the iron is hot but this seems ... interesting. If he's able to make a difference and help turn some of trice's pressures into sacks or tfls. .. then I guess it will be worth it.

And winning a national championship .. I guess it would be worth it too. Haha.

No. Post season games do not count against red shirt. It is not clear, in my eyes, whether or not Durfee has a red shirt available, anyway.

Plus you have to play at least four games anyway to burn a redshirt

I’m not ready to crown his ass but it would be nice if he’s good

I'm not expecting him to immediately be the 2nd coming of Trice, but another solid rotation player would be really nice to have.

Can he be Martin? That would be great in these next two games.

Martin was a run blocker too. I’d be surprised if they use a 255 guy the same way

Yeah, he's 6'5" 255. Martin was like 6'4" 270 or something. I think Durfee is going to be a situational pass rusher, but maybe he's good enough to play every down. We'll see.
