A 12-1 Alabama that wins the SEC, and who's only loss is to top 10 Texas is definitely getting into the playoffs. Georgia and Texas will be left out if Michigan and Florida State win, too.
This is just shooting from the hip. I haven't done any research.
William, if you were a Bama fan and they just beat Georgia to improve to 12-1, YOU would be making the argument for them to be in the playoffs.
Which two do you pick? Undefeated 13-0 P5 champion? 12-1 P5 champion that beat the other 12-1 P5 champion? Or the 12-1 P5 champion that lost at home by 10 to the other 12-1 P5 champion?
Either way one team is getting "screwed", but I think it's clear that Bama is by far the least screwed of the three of them. They had their chance against Texas and they blew it.
If Alabama wins, the committee will put both Georgia and Alabama in.They will bounce UW, because “there is no pac12, so how could there be a conference champion?”

I don't see how the committee can look at one p5 conference champ that's undefeated and say "yeah, this one-loss conference champ loser deserves to get in over them". It's just not gonna happen. We are in. Don't sweat it.

I don't think they should, but I can absolutely see them doing it.
