I said DeBored was a Jonathan Smith last year and got yelled at.

    I still think that.

Don’t be fooled by two years.

    Final warning.

This is why I don't think DeBoer can even leave.

Doesn't have a great personality for recruiting.

And his two Washington teams are already really experienced outside of his obvious accomplishment at quarterback.

My dream is that DeBoer gave his agent an NIL number for UW to hit. This program needs Jimmy’s and Joe’s immediately.

College football is going to crash like a house of cards within the next 10 years and I’m pulling out my popcorn while stashing away extra cash for inevitable tax hikes.

One more national championship and I'm good

I see DeBoer at $8.5 or $9 million. Probably not $10 to start but should be getting $500k increases per year so he'd get there in a few years.

DeBoer is also the type to say he'd be fine with $9 million instead of $10 million if it meant his staff is getting bigger raises too.

He has an agent dude, they will force him to take the most
DeBoer doesn't work for his agent. His agent works for him.

    Elko's incentives:

Alongside a $7 million base salary over the six years of his contract, he'll also receive major bonuses for making the College Football Playoff ($1 million), winning a conference title and/or reaching the CFP quarterfinals ($1.5 million), reaching the CFP semifinals ($2 million), reaching the CFP title game ($2.5 million) or winning a national championship ($3.5 million).

Dollars per year can be offset elsewhere, such with extended contract length, more robust guarantees and bonuses, etc.

It is weird to see contract discussion at this point. Outside of recruiting, DeBooer is worth the money. (duh)

If Harbaugh bolts after this year, I could see Michigan making a run at him. Not sure who else he would consider over UW. Maybe Ohio State if they fire beard guy?

Seems more a B1G than SECSECSEC type to me as well.

It's obvious that harbaugh is more than likely gone. Michigan would be a good fit but I don't know if he would be their target. They could do worse.

I'm surprised by the reactions to the salaries. TAMU and MSU coaches are making less money than their horribly failed predecessors.

Smith is a "proven" power 5 coach. Oregon State gets a lot of love as a plucky underbeaver

Mike Reilly comes to mind. Better than Pete Carroll. Allegedly @iDawg

7.5 is the lower end of that scale. Michigan State and ATM scared some schools with their last hires and pay. Both downsized

DeBoer is clearly 9 to 10 million

    Pay or go home

That argument was a rare bare-knuckles brawl between you and @iDawg
