I'm not sure where the net and video game references are coming from, but most people are claiming the Mavs won the trade for the near-term. If they're in win-now mode - which they clearly are - I tend to agree. AD is a beast.
The fact that they quit on Luka should tell you a lot about him. Fat and injured, on top of constant whining. It's hilarious that this trade cost him a chance at the mega contract. Dallas did what New Orleans should've done with Zion two years ago.
NOC in that nobody had made any comment on it here many hours after it happened.
Are the Mavs in financial trouble? I'm assuming the new owners want to make a return in their investment. Generally speaking, keeping superstars is a good thing in the NBA. Are teams going to start dumping guys when they become eligible for the supermax? If yes, that signals an entirely new era in the league.

Luka traded for AD.

Seems the Spurs care - Fox is solid with Victor, no idea who is wearing purple but he’s not Vic
I would venture to say the Luka Davis swap and Fox/who? gif trade is the most interesting thing about the nba after viewing my ESPN app.this weekend.
Imagine hating on beer, video games, and murdering everything in your path on the way to a Finals because you're a future HOF.
Of course people care. It's the biggest story in sports and the 2024-25 NBA season hasn't even begun yet.
The Mavericks are officially cooked for at least a decade+. Batshit crazy move by the new majority owners.

Luka would have been up for a $325 million super max contract. Total financial move.
Plus Cuban is a commie nutcase. TITTT
