It’s as if, it’s ok to be happy in public after a huge win? Like, being authentic and showing emotions might drive better fan engagement and loyalty? Stunned.

Was Pete always such a closed off uptight fuck at Boise? That wasn’t the vibe I got watching their games, especially early in his tenure. I never really watched his pressers while he was there though, so I have no idea if he was a snarky fuck to their media like he was here. Random, but that gif just made me wonder. Something clearly changed between the guy calling hook and ladders and Statue of Liberty plays to beat OU and the guy who was so stressed out he couldn’t enjoy a fucking Rose Bowel.
If Petersen doesn't burn out he eventually breaks through and wins a natty here.
Recruiting was great.
He was his own worst enemy.
Dude needed to hang with PGOS and @RaceBannon, roll some Js, and take a walk for some perspective
Peterlips is just one of those workaholic dudes who never learned to relax. And unlike Urban he doesnt have the open relationship to relieve stress through strange pussy.
At least he realized that before he had a heart attack. PGOS would've preferred the heart attack and Rose Bowl win though, don't twist

IMO, Pete was always a perfectionist, and it is easier to be one at Boise than one at UW.
At UW, you also have to manage more personalities and more idiots in the media, so I think we saw it more in those press gifs than probably what others saw at BSU

dude would not be surprised if pete is revealed to be some closeted freak

He was burned out in 2014 so I don't know when it would have turned around for him.
You just throw Marcus Peters off the team. That's a huge problem.

I shouldn't do this to myself, but...
Imagine it's the end of 2017. Babushka has been hired away. Pete is stressing out but realizes his offense is outdated and simply not the answer. He decides to step back a bit, be more of a figurehead, cardboard cutout that the recruit moms love, and leave the offense largely in a new OC's hands. Calls up Tedford, noting their recent 10-4 season just one year removed from 1-11.
Petersen hires Tedford's new OC away; some guy named DeBoer. And because it's my fantasy, let's say at end of following year, CU hires away Lake. Lulz ensue.
As maddening as Coach K's D was at tims, with a more aggressive and high powered O, that D could have been lethal. Teams would quickly fall behind, become one dimensional and make mistakes.
(The flaw is, of course, that I think Browning was too set in his ways by 2018. I don't think DeBoer fixes that, but, maybe. Watching Tree score on 8 straight possessions on Friday night, while Shedeur Sanders ran backwards/in circles gave me too many ATBSJBS flashbacks. So maybe not 2018, but eventually Pete and a decent offense would have ass-blasted CFB.)
Anyway, Peterman could have been great, but instead he's the asshat who can't enjoy The Fucking Rose Bowl, and now we're still waiting for a Playoff/NY6 win. FYFMFE Cheers--

I love Peters, but the team was going nowhere and Peters was actively causing problems. The guy is a cancer and hard to deal with. He can’t last more than 3 years on his NFL teams.
