Was Mariota walking over to hand that to Ohio State?
Good shit, but to this day I stand by the idea that if Charles fucking Nelson doesn’t drop that 4th down pass in the first quarter Oregon goes up 14-0 and the Ohio st wheels come off. But he dropped it and the rest is history.
Uncle Rico type shit. Lol. Take the L. Good oregon team with a great qb, but Tosu was on a different level. They did that with their dumbass 3rd string qb nonetheless.
Very true!! Definitely taking the loss, but it’s hard not to think about what could have been.
I feel the same way about John Ross fumbling against Alabama. Admittedly, I am delusional to think that UW could've actually won. But still.
Hot take: Brees and 2000 Purdue would have ran train on that Jimbo coached Florida State team.
The Jimbo coached team that happened to be the defending National Champs . . .
2013 has to be one of the weirdest, shittiest years of college football ever. FSU beat an Auburn team for a tittle that should have lost to the Coug at home in their opener but gunslinging Connor Halliday threw some of the worst interceptions you've ever seen to linebackers covering no one. It was such a weird shitty year Sark won more than 7 games and got hired by USC.
No one was scared of that Florida State team that could have been like 7-5 to the point they were technically seeded below a team that had lost to RichRod and Arizona at home. All their best players other than Ramsey (who oddly had a terrible game) and Cook (who was a freshman fumbled like 9 times) were underwhelming pros at best.
Your argument that Purdue sucking before and after 2000 is great because Florida State was mediocre to bad for about 10 years before 2013/14 and after.
At least everyone here admits Purdue was a gimme game.

Florida State was 13-0 and defending National Champs when they got shredded by Oregon.

Because teams before and after this one were bad, therefore this team that had Drew Brees and beat #6 UM and #12 tOSU is bad
Lost to bob davie and Bobby Williams. Real powerhouse of a Purdue team.
