College football needs to totally redo the conferences to get back to their stupid playoff plan. The NCAA does a good job for March Madness why can't they figure this shit out for football.

3 tiers of football aligned by regions - to make the playoff work this seemed like a good one. This is the proposal for tier I
I like it but I am a dumbs Shit - yes I had to edit this
Also, the likes of Ole Miss and North Carolina get in but not Arizona State?
Those aren’t elite programs but they’re so far clear of ASU in terms of accomplishments in the last 25 years
Every team on this list has played in a NY6 game in the last ten years. ASU hasn't since 1997. West Virginia might be the only team you could argue against. Cincinnati or Louisville has been better than them in the last 10-15 years.

Since 2000, North Carolina has had 8 wins or more in a season 5 times.
Ole Miss has done it 5 times.
ASU has done it 7 times
What an arbitrary stat, esp because ole miss is easily the best program of the three. What are the 10 best seasons between the three? And does ASU even have one? Maybe the Rudy carpenter team that lost to Texas in the holiday would make 9 or 10?

# of x win seasons (especially a random number like 8) isn’t an accomplishment, especially considering unbalanced schedules. You think it’s harder to win 8 games in the p12 south or sec west?
I’d look at NY6 bowl appearances and top 25 final rankings.

Where have you been, duck? 0regon INVENTED selective stat picking since way before the beginning of 0U football in 1994. Why is defining success as winning 8 games random? 7/12 is marginal and 8/13 is at least above .600. Seems like a solid benchmark to someone who doesn't @pumpmygasduck for a living.

Has ASU been a serious threat to win the conference since Jake Plummer? Has to be pretty sad for ASU fans to watch Utah come in from the Mountain West and basically become what ASU should be.

2021 they were looking pretty good at first, at least in conference, but they always burn out.
I was at Reser in 2012 or whatever that year was that they came in #8 or 9 in the country. Beavlet was terrible that year. Frigid temperature November game and Sean Mannion lit them up. They had around 20 fans there with about 20 layers of Arizona Native American blankets on.
