You seem awfully uptight about wealthy Americans doing what they want with their money and being environmentally friendly. At the same time, seaplanes can't be cheap or good for the OZONE layer. Interesting.OZONE said:This thread has become boring. It is all pretty simple.
Sport hunting is for pussies. Period.
Killing game on US soil, for sport, is bad enough, but flying to mother fucking Africa to kill lions and rhinos is worse. It just is.
Who gives a fuck what some professor's site, with 3000 followers, says about hunting being good for the herd... was it a peer reviewed, double blind study?
It is just posturing by a descendent of the imperialist class trying to justify the fact that wealthy americans are flying to a 3rd world country, and paying to kill their game.
When a wealthy american buys a tag to kill a lion, it is called (by some) making the heard stronger.
When a poor farmer in Kenya kills a lion, to protect his flock, it is called poaching.
Can't you dumb fuckers see that this is just a vestige of imperialism? -

People deserve to spend what they earn, but there are limits... snuff films should be off limits, and child porn... and I think most enlightened folks would agree that hunting big game also belongs in the social taboo section.Swaye said:

But I'm sure some would disagree... and you'll also find folks that think the wealthy should be able to buy snuff films and child porn... after all... it's their money to spend.

define "big game". Are you talking exotics, or all big game? North American Deer and Elk off limits? Why only big game? Squirrels are ok? Quail? Ducks?
Do you eat meat? If so, are you just afraid of doing your own dirty work? I've never killed a zebra- because I am not enamored with eating one- but I have taken my share of deer and elk. Yum. -

I don't know if he meant to or not, but that line of reasoning begins and ends with that equivalence.MikeDamone said:
