It was never a baseball movie for me. It was about identifying market inefficiencies of a platform mired in traditional thought, and creating ways to exploit it by changing the way assets and deficiencies are valued. Baseball was the vehicle, not the focus...and, Brad Pitt

To me it was about a guy who felt like he failed in his baseball career and marriage and achieves some sort of redemption in having faith in his beliefs. His good relationship with his daughter is used to humanize him to the female audience because outside of that he's abrasive and gruff.

    Theater: Top Gun Maverick
Home: I can't remember the porn hub title something like Massive Dong Uber Driver visits Seattle Sports Bar Glory Hole
No actually at home I got sucked into some Turner Classic Movie channel movies: Ball of Fire (staring Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck) and then The Mad Miss Manton (starring Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck)

Watched Broker this morning. Understated but very good. Very reflective kind of movie. Didn't end the way I thought it would. Makes you think and connect the dots. IU was great. Can't understand why the American system rated it R. It was a PG-13 if there ever was one.

It made you think and connect dots but did it make you care?

The movie had an open ending and didn't spoon feed the audience as to what happened to all the characters, is what I meant.

The World's Fastest Indian. Anthony Hopkins was excellent. Also a true story.

Recommendation, All Quiet on the Western Front remake.

Gladiator. Kids had never seen it. I remember it being a great movie, but I didn't remember how slow and boring it can be at times. I think watching the clock tick down on my only night off in nearly a month wasn't helping.

In the theater it was The Menu
At home it was The Room.

I thought The Menu was great. The last movie I watched was You People on Netflix, which was pretty funny actually.
    I enjoyed The Menu.

I saw it when it first came out. Didn't seem to get a lot of acclaim. But I agree it was really good.

Just finished my third lap through the Irishman. I identify with Hoffa's attitude towards people who are tardy. Being late to stuff is a sign of poor character and shit as fuck.

The guy murders two people, including a woman, in cold blood. It's fucked up. You want applause for that?

They ran over the dudes wife with a Sherman tank and threw his kids off a 6 story building into an adjacent canal full of hungry bull sharks!

Not really and you’re right on the merits of the scene, however it is fiction.

Moving along, today watched Once Upon A Time in the West…and still good after the 23rd time. Another great Sergio Leone classic with Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson, amongst others. 1968 film, year behind The Good, Bad and Ugly.

Interesting that those were revenge killings.

    Leone was a great director

just watched The Blues Brothers. I guess I am 42 years too late to the party. It was just OK. I may have howled as a 13 year old, but didn't get it today.

While I like the Blue Brothers, it isn't in the same league as Animal House and Caddyshack.

More in the Ghostbusters/Stripes caliber of comedy.
