The last movie I saw was “Moneyball.” It wasn’t that good. They did a horrible job covering the team and the season. I don’t remember them mentioning the best player on that team in the movie. The ending is meh and the family shit could have easily been left on the cutting room floor.

Moneyball leaves out the fact their pitching staff was incredible and they had a SS and 3b that were juicing and hitting the shit out of the ball. Glorified Scott Hatteberg biopic. It was ok though
It was never a baseball movie for me. It was about identifying market inefficiencies of a platform mired in traditional thought, and creating ways to exploit it by changing the way assets and deficiencies are valued. Baseball was the vehicle, not the focus...and, Brad Pitt

Moneyball was really good
Maybe it was for folks who don’t follow baseball.
I think the title of the movie was pretty clear on the subject. 🤷🏼♂️

To me it was about a guy who felt like he failed in his baseball career and marriage and achieves some sort of redemption in having faith in his beliefs. His good relationship with his daughter is used to humanize him to the female audience because outside of that he's abrasive and gruff.
Theater: Top Gun Maverick Home: I can't remember the porn hub title something like Massive Dong Uber Driver visits Seattle Sports Bar Glory Hole No actually at home I got sucked into some Turner Classic Movie channel movies: Ball of Fire (staring Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck) and then The Mad Miss Manton (starring Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck)
Watched Broker this morning. Understated but very good. Very reflective kind of movie. Didn't end the way I thought it would. Makes you think and connect the dots. IU was great. Can't understand why the American system rated it R. It was a PG-13 if there ever was one.

It made you think and connect dots but did it make you care?

As I typed that I knew you were going to respond with that

At home: Plane.
Nothing special but it was fine mindless entertainment for 90 minutes
The Safdie Bros never disappoint. 4/5 stars.
