Vegas Baby!

I had events to attend this past weekend in good old Las Vegas just the way the Presidents would have wanted… surrounded by slow moving fat people and depressed degenerate gamblers. Wanted to pay close attention to anything promoting the conference whatsoever. I didn’t expect much since football season is over but once I got there I saw ads for the WCC and the WAC basketball tournaments multiple times yet nothing for the PAC 12 tournament.

Orleans arena is holding the WAC and WCC tournaments and the PAC has the bigger arena and more well known one in T-Mobile Arena yet nothing. To make it football related, this conference is done overall on all fronts. Next season I wouldn’t expect anything big promoting the championship football game because the Super Bowl is being held there and they all want to sell tickets to their “Big Game” viewing parties.

    The fact the conference doesn't have a location that actually really works for a football championship or a basketball tournament is a tell for the conference failing. Vegas is probably just the least bad choice of the options.

    It is but still more ads for two small time conference tournaments at a venue off the strip. Sad.

    The pac 12 tourney was awesome at mgm. Move it back. What makes Vegas conference tourneys great is the stadium being a 90 second walk to elevator bank and casino. T mobile is slightly off strip. Once you’re there, you’re there all day. When it was at mgm, if I didn’t want to watch a cal-wsu shitfest I could go to my room, go the sportsbook to bet/watch other games, go eat a nice meal, or play go blackjack for an hour

    If you enter T mobile for the tourney can you leave and come back? The Park MGM & NYNY are only a few hundred yards away. Usually buy 2 beers & free shot and the beveage kiosk at NYNY when walking to hockey games.
