Passing stats, in a historical context, are pretty meaningless these days. I'll take the young guys who are winners, as cited by Race.
Penix disagrees
Penix won
Penix orchestrated a 98 fucking yard drive to beat an Oregon State that just had one of their best seasons ever.
Next year he gets his shot against USC and Utah.
It was actually 92 yards and when uw failed twice on pass attempts to punch it in from the two, Fats, not trusting Penix not to throw an INT, had him center the ball on 3rd down and they settled for a Henry FG to win it. Good call by Fats.

And Burrow made a Super Bowl year 2
Kurt Warner had arguably the best 1st 3 years. Two MVPs, 2 Super Bowls, 1 Championship.
Mods?
Thanks Meat!
I agreed already in this thread that other QBs arguably have had better overall first 3 seasons.
Kurt Warner would be my pick but he was in his late 20s, so technically not comparable. Mahomes, yes.
Next year he gets his shot against USC and Utah.
