Pac 12 is so desperate to get a payout this year and next for an SC playoff appearance that they completely overlooked how inferior he was in the Pac12CCG as well as several common opponents with Penix.
DPOTY too. WTF, their defense is probably 10th in the league, everyone on it is soft. Fuck the Pac 12.
How do you not give them 0 air time, and basically pretend like they are an out of conference team in your league? I would say them and UCLA should be disqualified from the the P12CG but that would breach some contract.
I don't really have an issue with Caleb as the 1st team QB ... it's really a 1A vs 1B scenario there.
Jalen missing out on a 1st or 2nd team nod but if you had to choose one Rome was probably the more influential player. This is where stats vs impact on the game probably matters a bit because Jalen's numbers were better than Franklin's but I suspect that Franklin had a bigger impact on opposing defenses. Probably better to pick on the Arizona WR because fuck those on losing teams than then transfer because they can.
Cook getting 2nd team for making one tackle on Bo Nix is maybe more impressive than JTT getting first team all B1G for one good game. How bad are the fucking safeties in this conference? Ho lee shit.

The question isn't about how bad our players are, it's how bad our media is.
How is it that in the year 2022 we're still only slotting 2 WR's on an all-conference team?
That’s a great question in itself. The fact that RB and WR have the same numbers on the all conference squad is just dumb. Most teams play 1 RB and 3-4 receivers

I mean I guess Caleb has the higher rating and BPE led the conference/nation in passing. And both teams were 4-8 last year and had big turnarounds. But what Penix did for Washington feels more "miraculous" in terms of an MVP performance than Caleb.

Caleb also played like a bitch in the biggest game of the year and cried on the bench while Utah danced on the Allegiant logo. Penix was nails all year. Williams was a front running cunt.

I would put McMillan and the Arizona WRs over Franklin just because of numbers but I think Franklin should get some credit for being the only real consistent receiving threat on their team so I'm sure he got a lot more double teams. Fuck his Gumby ass though. I'm tempted to troll him for a sad $11 on Cameo asking why DBs don't just start jamming him at the line.https://www.cameo.com/troyfranklin11
Sirmon at first team and Cook at second team is the only evidence needed that this conference plays absolute dogshit defense.
Sirmon the beneficiary of name recognition and scanning stats. Kirkland and Noah "as bad as Kyler Manu" Sewell on name recognition as well. Even if Kirkland was great he missed like half the season, if not more. My favorite was when I swear Myles Jack was getting defensive credit for one-yard touchdown runs on offense.
Really seems like Cook is up there for that one play. Oregon State had 4-5 DBs who could have been on first or second team.

That’s what I meant.
Thanks for taking my thoughts and putting them on paper.

Just another thing that’s gone into the shitter the last couple decades.

Cal had a S that finished 6th in the conference in tackles, had 3 INTs and 2 FFs, and was just honorable mention.
