Bad optics for the pac indeed… how u have a team with the same w/l within the league but a lower ranking nationally and a worse w/l overall record playing instead of the higher ranked team just does not make sense and is a buzz kill for the conference championship game and the value of the televised rights.
Works out fine for us because it means that it’s highly likely that we wind up with a better bowl game but is just insane and stupid from a league perspective. Burt then this is exactly why the pac 12 is a failed conference ~ insanely stupid business management. These guys are dumber than a sack of bolts.
